Xenia Lodge No. 50 was instituted on October 23rd, 1911 by the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the State of New York, over which Most Worshipful Henry Spencer, Grand Master Presided. Deputy Grand Master C.C. Jackson, P.M. Jessie D. Phillips, and Brother William H. Spencer erected the Lodge. P.M. Henry Scott and P.M. Samuel Davis were the prime movers in the formation of the class.
Which preceded the institution of the lodge, and Brother William H. Spencer was the Master under dispensation. The Right Elected Officers of the Lodge were: Henry Scott, Worshipful Master; C.P. McClendon, Senior Warden; R.B. Costa, Junior Warden; E. Eccles, Treasurer; Samuel J. Davis, Secretary, David C. Harris, Senior Deacon and Joseph Bullock, Junior Deacon.
The first Masonic District United Sermon Committee and the District Association which was an outgrowth of the Sermon Committee was the brainchild of Past Master Joseph Bullock. The Members of the Lodge have been active in community life, politically, socially, and religiously.
